Azithromycin (Z-Pack) and clarithromycin (Biaxin) are the antibiotics of the same class (macrolide). They are used to treat diseases similar, but differ slightly in relation to the recovery of bacteria and counseling. Both are commonly used to treat respiratory infections such as sinusitis, otitis media, acute bronchitis and pneumonia.

It is important to understand that antibiotics are effective only against bacterial infections. Therefore, if your symptoms are caused by fungal or viral infections or allergies, then you can make an improvement.
